Courthouse tree going out in blaze of glory

2016-11-14 - Historic Adair County Courthouse, 500 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c).

The maple tree by the Front Door of the Historic Adair County Courthouse will likely be gone by this time next year. The Adair Fiscal Court responded favorably to requests to remove it in action earlier this year. This year, in a fall some thought too brown, the tree was a magnificent show of color, and provided a carpet of leaves in what might just be a defiant defense of its being. The photo was taken on Saturday, November 12, 2016. - EW
