Ferns are as deep green as they ever are, despite the current drought, while the woodland is covered with a carpet of leaves and the moss are hinting at the stress of the current dry season. Maybe a reader has the answer for why this is so, why the ferns look greener than they ever do? The photo was taken Friday, November 4, 2016. - EW
