2016-11-04 - Hurt Street, Columbia, KY - Photo CM photo of artist rendering.

The City of Columbia Planning & Zoning Commission approved a zoning change on Hurt Street which will accommodate the construction of this eight-unit apartment building by Columbia businessman Jonathan Begley. Mr. Begley, who was present at the meeting, said that at a future date and identical building would be built facing this one. The apartments will be approximately 900 s.f. each, with two bedrooms and one bathroom with every unit. The zoning change now needs only city council approval. The action was taken at a 5pmCT special session of the P&Z Commission on Thu 3 Nov 2016. - EW
