CM's Choice for Mr. and Mrs. Downtown Days are Charles and Helen Sparks, who every major community festival and event on the Square. Yesterday they had the best seat in the house to catch it all. Charles Sparks is carrying one of his trademark canes, all of which are totally functional, but each has its own distinctive handle. Helen, as always, vivacious and involved in every aspect of the show. Immediately in front of them was the Powerlifting competition, and the Kiddie Train chugged by frequently, always with new and happy small faces beaming aboard. - EW
