Jason Mardis sends a view of the windstorm damage to the roof at Day & Day Feed & Pet on Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, which occurred Thursday, July 7, 2016. The roof was peeled from back to front off the building in the center of the photo, and can be seen in front of the building. Underneath can be seen the remains of an older roof, still intact. The building was originally built as the Kentucky State Highway Maintenance Barn for Adair County. Prior to a sale of the property to Day & Day Feed & Pet, it was a Grider Properties equipment sales facility. On the left, foreground, is more of the huge Day & Day. Behind it, on the left can be seen property now owned by Adair County Fiscal Court, including the Search & Rescue Building, And toward top perimeter tree line along Russell Creek is the Adair County Road Department Equipment Storage area. In the very left top corner is an area known as "Pickett Hill," accessed from the Russell Heights neighborhood. The road perpendicular to Campbellsville Road is Service Road, which, from bottom to top, includes the Adair County Restricted Custody Facility, the Adair County Highway Department Barn, the Adair County Recycling Center and Highway Department Salt storage, and behind that the Kentucky State Highway Department Adair County facility. Cutting a corner along the upper right of the photo can be seen a part of Henson Farms and the Adair County Veterans Memorial Highway. - EW
