Adair Historian Mike Watson presents D-Day program

The Adair County Genealogical Society and the Adair County Public Library jointly presented a talk by Adair Historian Mike Watson at the regular 1st Monday at 7pmCT meeting, June 6, 2016 of the genealogy group. Jane Grant, president presided over the well attended session. The books on the table were from the stacks at the library. The medals were those of an Adair Countian who served in the United States Air Force and was also a veteran of World War II. One book was written by Mike Watson, which includes the names of veterans of World War II from Adair County. Mr. Watson plans to incorporate those into a hardback book on Adair Countians who have served in the military since the Revolutionary War. He estimates that the hardbound volume will be some 300-350 pages when printed. - EW
