Both Mayor Curtis Hardwick, left, and Adair County Judge Executive Mike Stephens are united in reminding Adair Countians to get out and vote today. "Numbers count in D.C. The more people that vote the more Adair County is noticed. Please get out and vote!" and CJE Stephens says, "It's too wet to plow. Support our community. We can't plant but can sow for the future," It's a bipartisan effort. Mayor Hardwick is a Republican. Judge Stephens a Democrat," but there's only a slightly veiled reminder that both are encouraging Republican voters to vote for the man both have endorsed, when Judge Stephens adds, "Everyone in Adair County needs to do all they can to elect a Home Area candidate for Congress." The two are together, also, on commitments to see the a sewer project needed at Green River Commerce Park completed even though it will have to be a local project now. It may not come as a surprise that coming up with a local solution appears likely to cost all local taxpayer entities involved less money - though it will mean an added sizeable added burden on Columbia employer Rob Wilkerson. - Ed Waggener Permalink | Comments?
