Campbellsville Elementary students visit fish hatchery

Campbellsville Elementary School second-grade students visited Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery in Jamestown recently. The hatchery is administered by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and is supported by federal tax dollars. Fish raised at the hatchery are stocked in public waters. Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery produces about 1 million rainbow, brown, and brook trout weighing 275,000 pounds each year. Students learned about how the hatchery operates and about insects and animals - and CES second-grader Carson Mills even touched a snake. - Calen McKinney
