Thanks Mom! Have a great Mother's Day 2016-05-08 - Sulphur Well, KY - Photo by Earl Reid Marcum (Dad). Thank you Mom, Geniece Leftwich Marcum, and Dad Earl Reid Marcum (1921-1983) for choosing each other and allowing me and my younger siblings Keith and Jane, to enter the world. After children are born, parents don't have to stay and raise their kids but you both did. Parents don't have to struggle to earn enough to feed and grow their kids, but you did. Parents don't have to love their kids but you did that, too! I recently found this ancient photo of Mom holding me in my first year and felt deep gratitude for all the years of care she has given me, and then grandsons Pen and Tom and now great grandsons Graham and Evan and granddaughters Tillie and Hailey.
