As a neighbor of Windstream in Columbia, I've noticed these tires in the trash each passing for a few weeks now, hoping there's a plan for recycling. The City garbage pick up does not take tires but they can be taken to the recycling center off Campbellsville Street at 103 Service Road, Columbia, KY this afternoon and tomorrow. Personnel will be on hand to help unload. All tires including those with rims will be accepted. Charles Crawhorn, Adair County Solid Waste Coordinator, says the Free Tire Disposal is continuing today until 4pmCT, and will be underway 7am-12pmNoonCT, tomorrow, Saturday, May 7, 2016.
