Tabor Community Church on Scenic KY Highway 704, is surrounded by pleasing countryside that it's often taken in as a whole, without noting the the trees in the forest. However, this big beech, at the edge of the little country church's parking lot, couldn't be ignored. Tabor is only the first of an extraordinary string of picture calendar country churches which dot the roadside, are lovingly preserved, and have as much to do with the official designation, "Scenic Highway," as the unmatched beauty of KY 704's farms woodlands, streams and wildlife along the way. - EW/LW
