Katie Campbell receives Dare to Soar award

Campbellsville Middle School teacher Katie Campbell received this month's Dare to Soar award at Campbellsville Board of Education's monthly meeting on Monday, April 18, 2016. Campbellsville Independent Schools Superintendent Mike Deaton made the presentation. Deaton said it was written on Campbell's nomination form that she is the truly the definition of being a team player. Campbell has been a Beta sponsor, basketball coach and is currently a member of the CMS Site-Based Decision Making Council. She is also a part of the CMS adult lighthouse team and teacher orientation committee. Deaton said it was written that Campbell puts her students first and is always willing to go more than the extra mile. Campbell isn't afraid to think outside the box and makes learning fun for her students. She said she loves teaching, and is thankful to be able to do what she loves every day. Campbell has worked for Campbellsville Independent Schools since 2008. She is married to Justin Campbell.
