Epicurean Kentuckian: Omelet to Order, right off the menu 2016-04-06 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Many times, maybe most of the time, one can't improve on perfection. Many of us spend time studying the menu, designing our own versions of ingredients for the perfect omelet. Most of the time, it just doesn't pay. That was the case with this Western Omelet at the Circle R Restaurant. It was delicious just a the chef prepared it. Come to think about, the wait staff and the chef probably appreciated getting to do what they do best without advice. I hope that's so. It did make the experience more enjoyable for us. One has to wonder how often, in all transaction, we're the losers when we think we can modify what a master can do. Our job is just to find out who does what best, see if we can afford it, and let them micro-manage themselves. - EW Permalink | Comments?
