Peter & Pauline are more than on their game right now. Some think Tray's Garden - a CM advertiser - is the best Chinese in South Central Kentucky. The plate above was the only one assembled by George Kolbenschlag, who felt no need to go back for seconds to get his money's worth. For those who haven't watched Michael Pollan on KET, Mr. Kolbenschlag is on trend: there is no virtue in cleaning your plate. For selfish health reasons, quite eating when you are full, or a little before. Of course there is more to the theory - for one thing, the Christian thing, one ought to take only what one can eat. That much is owed to the proprietors. Oh, another thing, someone, unbeknownst to us, paid for the meal. And that was appreciated and it was accepted on behalf of the restaurant and the wait staff, who were paid twice - still a good deal as far as we were concerned. - EW. Permalink | Comments?
