Laura Lamb will perform with KMEA all-state band

2015-12-21 - Campbellsville High School, 230 W Main (campus), Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer/Grant Writer. Campbellsville High School junior Laura Lamb will perform with the KMEA all-state band in February. Lamb, a mallets player, was one of about 1,200 students who auditioned for nearly 140 spots to perform with the all-state ensemble. She auditioned on Saturday, December 12, 2015, and finished second of those auditioning. Lamb will perform in February at the KMEA conference with the symphonic band. According to CHS Band Director Zach Shelton, Lamb is the first CHS student in about 20 years to be invited to play with the band, which is the highest honor a high school band student can receive. Lamb was a percussionist with the CHS Marching Band this season, which made the Top 10 at Class A semifinal competition for the first time in the last 15 years. - Calen McKinney
