Walking the ledge - a century old tradition 2015-10-21 - Jeffries Building, Just off the Square, Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Granddad. Graham, who is always seconds away from running and climbing mode, acted as catcher on the ledge for sibs Ev and Hailey. Walking the ledge has been a traditional launch for a walk up Jamestown Hill for over a century. Acrophobic as I am, I could always make it as far as Hailey did. The walk was taken during a recent visit by the grandkids, who gave their very most enthusiastic endorsement to Downtown Columbia, insisting only that we refer to it as the Public Golden Rectangle (not Public Square) in honor of Professor Mike Ratliff's scientific finding. - Granddad, Ed Waggener Permalink | Comments?
