Scenic Cumberland Co., KY: A Picture Postcard everywhere

2015-10-02 - Burkesville, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, CM photo.
There may be nothing prettier than the first fallen leaves carpeting lawns. Of course they will be taken away, they can't last forever on well manicured lawns, but it was such a pleasant sight to see them Thursday, October 1, 2015, near downtown Burkesville, KY, where there's hardly a place one can aim a camera without focusing on a beautiful scene, lovely hills in the background. We never forget how impressed our firstborn son was when he first was told about the landmark Alpine Hill and would announce, each time on a re-visit, that he had spotted "Apple-Pine" Hill. - Linda & Ed Waggener
