New Look on Campbellsville Street at Jct. Fairground Street

2015-09-17 - Campbellsville Street at Fairground Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Improvements at the intersection of Campbellsville Street and Fairground Street continue and now they are entirely in the private sector. Site work at the one time location of Burton Bros. Station and the recent location of Columbia Tire & Recapping, is nearing completion. Above, a bulldozer does some finishing work, spreading limestone gravel over the lot after riprapping was completed around the inside perimeter of the lot. Owner Robin Wilkerson has not announced plans for the site, but says there has been considerable interest in it as the changes have progressed. - CM
