City Council approves new building inspection rates

2015-09-09 - City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo photo of City of Columbia document.
The City Council approved the second reading of a Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction Fee Schedule, retroactive to April 1, 2015, as outlined in the chart above. Most fees are double or approximately double. The fee will go to an independent contractor. The fees are for new construction. Other rates apply to renovation. (Would somebody please aid a math impaired editor. What will the inspection fee be for a 10,000 s.f. residence under the new rates?) - CM
