Heartland Parkway first phase bids notice goes to contractors



2015-09-05 - Frankfort, KY - Photo From Kentucky Transportation Cabinet website. Finally, a dream for South Central Kentucky closer to reality. The Transportation cabinet sent this notice to contractors yesterday, September 4, 2015, for construction of the first phase of the Heartland Parkway (KY-55) from Columbia Bypass to the Adair/Taylor County Line. The bid calls for for 2+1 passing lanes, asphalt rehab, with Grade and Drain. Eventually, the Heartland Parkway will connect Columbia and the Louie B. Nunn Parkway with the Bluegrass Parkway.
