Adair County Hospital Trustees get financial news

2015-08-26 - Hospital Cafe, Westlake Regional Hospital, 901 Westlake Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener.
After Westlake Regional Hospital Chief Financial Officer Hayes, second from left, gives the good and the not so good news on the hospital's status, members of the Board of Trustees turn to hear a comment from Adair County Judge Michael Stephens at the regular meeting, August 25, 2015. From left are Brad Keltner, Bruce White, Sharon Burton and David Herbst. Chairman Richard Grant was not present. Next is Westlake CEO Neal Gold, and Westlake Public Relations director Justin Mardis. The good news was that for the first time in 18 years the hospital ended last year in the black. The not so good news was that the hospital lost money in July - traditionally a tougher financial month for hospitals. CEO Neal Gold announced that there will be a celebration at the hospital today, Employee Appreciation Day, recognizing the steadfast staff, providers, and employees who have accomplished the turnaround. - EW
