Second Interchange on LBN at Edmonton, KY taking shape

2014-11-23 - LBN Pkwy at Greensburg Road, Edmonton, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, CM .
The East side exits and on ramps are blocked by traffic barrels but they look read to be open any day now at the new Greensburg Road/Louie B. Nunn Parkway interchange on the east side of Edmonton. According to Wes Watt of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in Bowling Green, KY, "US 68/ Louie B Nunn Parkway- Construction work will continue during the week of November 24-28, 2014 for the new interchange project as contractors install signs and lighting along the roadway. Trucks and equipment will be entering and exiting the road in this area. The northern section of Harvey Hurt Road (across from Industrial Drive) remains closed to through traffic. Local traffic will need to use the southern approach from U.S. 68 to access Harvey Hurt Road. Harvey Hurt RD is expected to be re-opened the first of next week. Also, he said that Industrial Drive is closed from U.S. 68 to Sumitomo as part of the new interchange construction. Motorists will need to follow the detour along U.S. 68 turning onto KY 80 and then onto Industrial Dr. until further notice. Industrial Drive is expected to be re-opened the first of next week." - Linda Waggener
