Perfect snack size Galas: Perfect eating apple

2013-08-18 - Adair Extension Farmers Market, 409 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Professor Apple - Jeff Scott of Antioch, in Adair County has produced the perfect sized apple, solving one of life's great quandaries, "Am I hungry enough to eat the apple and if I'm not, what will I do with what's left." One of these beauties should bed down most cravings for a something sweet and healthy, a second would be handy. Less is more in apples it seems, just as it has proven with Danny and Debbie Burris' Gradyville grown Minnesota Mini Cantaloupes. Not only more convenient, both the Galas and the muskmelons have more intense flavors. Jeff Scott is often at the Farmers Market and/or at the Farmers Market on the Square. So are Danny and Debbie Burris. Scott, a one man performer, offers philosophy freely. At the Burris market, each staff member specializes. Danny's favorite father-in-law, Joe Moore, handles entertainment. Mr. Moore is mostly at the Farmers Market on the Square, but occasionally makes it to Fairground Street.
