INFAC rising in Heartland Commerce & Technology Park

2013-03-31 - Campbellsville, KY - Photo ColumbiaMagazine.com photo. The steel framework of the new INFAC plant is up and covered, bringing the first plant in Taylor County's Heartland Commerce and Technology Park a step closer to reality. The Park is located just south of Campbellsville, approximately 15 miles of Columbia. The plant faces New Columbia Road and is the second facility for the Korean automotive parts manufacturing company in Campbellsville. The first plant is located at 800 Industrial Drive. INFAC was established in 1969 in South Korea and specializes in automotive components, such as mechanical control cables, solenoids, antennas and horns for General Motors, Chrysler, Hyundai and KIA. In 2008, the company opened its U.S. operation, which currently has 60 employees, in Campbellsville. The new plant will add approximately 20 jobs. INFAC has outgrown the leased 52,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center and plans to build a new 100,000-square-foot assembly, manufacturing and warehouse facility. The new building will allow for increased manufacturing of brake and transmission control cables.
