Looking for photos from Egypt Christian Church history

2026-03-13 - Adair Co., KY - Photo courtesy Egypt Christian Church. As Egypt Christian Church prepares to celebrate their 150th anniversary on March 29, 2026, they are looking for old pictures. This one is believed to be a group of Egypt Christian members likely at a revival or gathering.

Records show the first dedicated Egypt Christian church was built in 1914. The clothing of the people in the photo above indicate it was taken around 1903-1908, so it was probably taken at the Egypt Schoolhouse, which was used for other community groups like the Grange or Masons. If anyone has additional information or additional pictures, please share.
