Makayla White, a fifth grade student from Adair Elementary School (ACES), has been selected the Adair County and Mid-Cumberland Retired Teachers Association winner in the "2021-2022 Grandparent of the Year" essay contest, for her essay about her great grandfather, Jack Garrett. She read her award winning essay to the crowd. She is presented the awards - a plaque and a $50 prize - by interim Adair County Retired Teacher Association President Mark Fudge.
