Travel: Rock Cairns at Hearst San Simeon State Park, California
2022-08-17 - San Simeon, CA - Photo By Robert Ellis, Robert Ellis Woodworking. Robert writes, "The ocean, sand and roaring beach does have a tendency to bring out the kid in all of us. I snuck away from my fellow travelers and created this little beach scene...and of course waited on the gulls to perform a fly over.
What a contrast this area of California is to the Parks we just left...going from 105 degrees to mid 60's in the space of an hour. Cold Alaskan waters are one of the reasons for the year round, cooler temperatures for this part of the coastline.
I smiled and walked away as I disassembled the Cairn and left it back again in its natural state."
