Billy Joe writes, "I taught my able assistant, fellow explorer, and cousin, Nick Janes how to get a fresh, clean drink of naturally sweet water from a grapevine today. Hard to believe how much sweet water is in a two foot section of grapevine. Nature's very own, all natural energy drink!"

Karly wins Happy Pumpkin Spice Season

Karly Janes, 9, made the winning bid for the artwork Happy Pumpkin Spice Season at the 2022 Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce annual picnic and fundraiser auction. Mom, Kimberly Irvin, said Karly really wanted to participate.

Veterans Memorial Park on Hwy 55 South

The City of Columbia Veterans Memorial Park (formerly the Roadside Park) on Hwy 55 South is a good place for comfortable gatherings. There’s plenty of shade for walking and picnicking in covered meeting areas, plus restrooms and playground equipment for children. This picture was taken as folks were coming in before the annual Chamber of Commerce picnic began Tuesday evening, September 13, 2022.
