Gabe Coleman moves on after two years as Scout leader
2022-12-29 - Columbia, KY - Photo from family collection. Scout Troop 185 gives a shout out to retiring leader Gabe Coleman, pictured here as a warrior fighting for good in a fun family video. Gabe has kept Columbia Magazine readers in the communications loop over his past two years of his leadership. He wrote, "As Scouts, we learn about the rights, duties, and obligations of citizenship, but also resources. We are members of a local community, a nation, and a world, so, therefore, we have to protect our fellow citizens and follow the law, while also upholding the Scout oath and law as they pertain to being a good citizen." Congratulations, Gabe!

2022-12-28 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. Blue the Cat has his ways of speaking about things like the weather. You can see his opinion of that white stuff that's at last melting away by observing his eyes and his raised paw.

In the rear view mirror
2022-12-28 - Adair County, KY - Photo ColumbiaMagazine.com weather, NOAA. At this report, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, we are thankfully heading in the mid-fifties and last night is projected to have been our last night under the freezing mark. What a joyful day! I personally hope we do not return to temperatures we've lived through like this from just five days ago, which showed at 2022-12-23 at 10.25.55 PM on Christmas eve eve. Happy warm weather! - LW
