Travel: Scenic Utah, State Highway 128

2022-10-29 - Utah - Photo by Robert Ellis, Robert Ellis Woodworking.
Robert writes, "Taking a break along scenic Utah State Highway 128. Behind us, down river are some kayakers on the Colorado River. The selfie stick was taken along mostly for giggles. Half the time it got left behind in the rental car, mostly to reduce weight for hiking; besides, there's usually someone on the trails that is more than happy to take your pic."

Crows fighting a hawk

2022-10-29 - Fairplay, KY - Photo by Veronica Arnold.
Veronica writes, "While they are high in the sky, my husband and I witnessed two crows attacking and chasing off two hawks. Pictured you see the two crows circling the one hawk. The other gave up earlier and flew away. I tried to zoom in to catch the aerial battle but they were all over the place. The crows were squawking away while they raged battle. They may be smaller and not raptor birds like the hawks but those crows were fiercely waging battle and winning.

I was happy too because the crows were chasing them farther away from my chicken coop!"
