Birds of Kentucky: Watching traffic like a hawk
 2022-11-22 - Russell Springs, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. This young hawk was spotted keeping a sharp eye on traffic on Lakeway Drive in Russell Springs this afternoon. The CM Ornithology Department suspects it to likely be a juvenile Red-Shouldered Hawk, or possibly a young Cooper's Hawk.

OCC 2022: Lindsey Athletics donates 357 shoebox gifts
 2022-11-22 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy Lindsey Wilson College. Lindsey Wilson College athletic teams joined together on campus last week to produce 357 shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies and personal hygiene items for children in developing countries during the Christmas season.
"Our student-athletes and coaches take great pride in our department-wide outreach programs," Lindsey Wilson athletic director Willis Pooler said. "We love supporting the Adair County-Columbia community, but we equally embrace Operation Christmas Child and going beyond our community to make an impact on a global scale.
