Connor Loy honored for 1,000th point

Dale writes, "Connor Loy, a sophomore at Adair County High School, was honored at the Adair County-Green County game on Friday night for scoring his 1,000th career point in an earlier game. Pictured with him is ACHS Head Coach Jeffrey D. Breeze. Loy would go on to score 35 points in the Indians' 77-75 victory over Green County."

Work in progress around damaged light poles

3:30amCT -- Power around the intersection of Burkesville and Hudson Streets in Columbia was affected during the night after a juvenile driver hit two power poles requiring immediate responses from law enforcement, KU, State Highway Department, and Duo County.

Power poles damaged causing electrical outages

A juvenile is alleged to have taken the parents’ car and hit two power poles in the area of Burkesville Street between the Post Office and Five Star at the Columbia Bulk Plant. No injuries were reported. Power went off and on several times after midnight requiring law enforcement, KU, State Highway Department, and Duo County to be on the scene for restoration of power and repairs.

Accident causes power outages

Power outages resulted from a one vehicle, non-injury accident after midnight Sunday at the Columbia Bulk Plant by the Post Office in Columbia.
