Tax Deadline extended

Adair County Sheriff Josh Brockman has extended the period to pay taxes before the penalty kicks in by one extra day due to the way the holiday fell at the end of 2022.

Normally, the 10% penalty would kick in on the first, however, with the holiday causing the Annex to be closed on Friday, this courtesy is being offered.

Caitlyn Abell Bruns and her daughter, Noraly, from Utah were special guests Thursday at the City swearing in ceremonies. Little Noraly's dress was the same one her mother wore at her aunt Pamela Hoots' first swearing in as Mayor in 1989.
