Congratulations go out to Maddie on winning essay
 2023-03-08 - Metcalfe County, KY - Photo by Torrie Osbon, Director of Communications, Metcalfe County Schools. Metcalfe County Elementary School student Maddie Froehlich is the school AND district winner of the "Why my Grandparent should be the AARP Kentucky Grandparent of the Year" Essay Contest!
The contest is administered by the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and is open to all 5th-grade students in Kentucky public schools.
Maddie competed against students in 13 counties to win the district prize. She is one of 14 district winners and will receive a plaque and $50 award.
Her essay will now be judged at the state-level competition.

ACES Regional FPS Governor's Cup Champions
