This week Columbia natives John Walker and his sister Vicky Walker Smith visited to begin the process of adding to their family line - Walker, Hughes, Cundiff - so keepsakes can be archived with others. Ernestine Bennett at right helped them get a starting point to see what information is already on hand.

Read Across Adair - a huge success

Principal Bradshaw writes, "ACPC faculty and staff did a wonderful job decorating and thanks to all our community partners and Adair faculty, our annual 2023 Read Across Adair was again a huge success, with over 400 in attendance! On Monday, March 6, 2023 some of our community supporters walked our halls and then judged our decorated classroom doors. Mrs. Angel Reeder's class won the competition."

Updating sirens to be ready for next storms

New Columbia resident Vicky Pike writes, "Tracy McCarol, Chad Wheat, Mike Keltner and Jake Spoon check at my tornado siren this morning. Problem diagnosed and Mike Keltner is checking on availablity of parts and who can replace the part for us. Jake is highly interested in weather equipment so he came along to learn. Thanks Jake for all your help.
"They tested the Lindsey Wilson siren and it's working so that only leaves the one in the Walmart neighborhood in need of repair."
