Adair County Fiscal Court votes on tax

Terry Hadley was the only Magistrate who voted with Adair County Judge Executive Larry Russell Bryant in favor of implementing a one percent occupational tax in the county to help improve the financial situation, similar to the ones in each of the six surrounding counties. All the other Magistrates voted against it in Tuesday night's meeting.

SKA Realtors meet in Columbia

Mayor Pam Hoots writes, "Great to be with the Southern Kentucky Association of Realtors at their regional meeting at the Training and Development Center in Columbia Tuesday. Glad to proclaim April as Fair Housing Month. The City received a grant through them for benches that are going at the new splash pad. We welcome them to our town and community."
