Prevent child abuse in April and every day of the year

Community partners in Adair County recognized child abuse prevention this month. They also had helpers from Mrs. Marcy Ryan’s 1st grade at this FRYSC school event. They shared that they "talked, laughed and drew some creative chalk drawings." Family Resource and Youth Services Centers remove the non-academic barriers to student achievement, bridge the gaps to needed resources, and collaborate the resources of schools and communities for the success of students, families, and communities.

Billy Joe writes, "I stumbled upon this jewel from the past, recently. It is a straight eight, flathead engine. All eight plugs, the carburetor and a few plug wires are still attached. Nothing in the surrounding scrap metal to indicate make and model but then I'm the first to admit that I have an untrained eye when it comes to these matters."

Just after 9:30pmCT Tuesday night Columbia Magazine began receiving calls about a possible shooting at Anderson's Pizzeria located near the junction of Veterans Memorial Bypass and Hwy 55 North. The restaurant parking lot was filled with law enforcement vehicles at the time of this picture. We will print full details as soon as the official police report is received from the lead agency.
