Country Ham baskets

Two of the holiday-themed baskets that will be featured at Thursday evening's Adair County 4-H Country Ham Auction. These baskets will make great host gifts or presents for upcoming holiday gatherings. Pictured above are baskets by Malloree Kimbler and Katherine Lemmon.

All proceeds from the ham auction go back to the country ham youth program.

Scenic Kentucky: Fall colors along the trail

Robert writes, "At the end of October we made the short drive to the National Park. We mostly wanted to do some hiking and checkout the fall colors. In this image we are below the top of the hill, on a trail and looking up. The sun had all the available colors 'lit up' creating for me one of my favorite images this season."

Discovering the back of the TR House

Fifth graders from Adair County Elementary School get a fall tour designed just for them at the City of Columbia's historic Trabue Russell House. Volunteer Mary Anne Loy and retired educators and friends lead and teach the students from the front door to the back, out the screen door and into the back yard where they would have drawn their water in the Daniel Trabue days.
