Impromptu Picnic

Veronica writes, "On the second day of the Kentucky Extension Master Gardener State Conference, we were provided a nice box lunch, so we took it outside for an impromptu picnic. The littlest gardener laid down on the quilt, made friends and we basked in the glorious countryside."

Veronica writes, "This week I had the pleasure of attending the Kentucky Extension Master Gardener State Conference held in Frankfort, Kentucky. My daughter came along with and we had some great lectures about native plants, annual plants in the garden, and building a better and safer butterfly garden.

We thank the Adair County Extension Office for sending us to the conference."

They said they try to go to all events possible and share "the good news of Jesus Christ" in their work with the Gideons International organization.

Congratulations to the MCHS Golf Team!

The Metcalfe County High School Golf Team won the 2023 16th District Tournament on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023. The Hornets defeated Clinton, Cumberland, Monroe, and Russell Counties with a team score of 164. MCHS junior Collin Shive was the individual runner-up. Metcalfe will compete in the regional golf tournament at Indian Hills Country Club in Bowling Green on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Pictured from left are: Kruz Tucker, Noah Emmitt, Collin Shive, Ben Shirley, Kailin Birge and Coach Matt Reed.
