Recycling update - styrofoam accepted in Horse Cave

Avid recycler William R. Feese of Columbia writes, “Today we took our third trailer load of styrofoam to Horse Cave.” He is concerned about all the styrofoam going into landfills. There are eight bins in the U.S. provided by Dart Container Corporation to collect #6 Styrofoam. He shares that the good news is one of those bins is in Kentucky near Horse Cave and Mammoth Cave National Park.

Hall of Famers to be recognized

Those include Terry Randall (top left), Ralph McQueary (top middle), John Burr (top right), Ralph Shearer (lower left), and Haskin Rowe (lower right), and the 1954 ACHS Mens Basketball Team.

1954 ACHS Mens Basketball Team

The 1954 Adair County High School Men's Basketball Team. This team, already inducted into the Hall of Fame, will be recognized during ceremonies planned for early fall.

The 1980 Cross Country Team will be part of the 2023 ACHS Hall of Fame Class. Recognition ceremonies are planned for early fall with more details to come in the near future.
