Dozens of trees downed by storms overnight
 2023-06-26 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Mike Keltner. As of 3amCT, efforts of road crews, fire departments, law enforcement, emergency management and citizens had cleared over 75 trees from roadways after the storms passed through. Please use caution this morning as trees may have not yet been discovered in the hundreds of miles of roadway in Adair County.

Congratulations to Dr. Ellie Caffee
 2023-06-25 - Metcalfe County, KY - Photo by Kim Harwood, Executive Director, Edmonton Metcalfe Chamber of Commerce. Congratulations Ellie Caffee, a 2018 alumna of Metcalfe County High School, graduating from Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD). She graduates with honors, having earned a perfect 4.0 at Sullivan and a 4.0 at Campbellsville University, where she was first in her class. She will take her final board examinations to become a registered pharmacist in the coming weeks. She is the daughter of Derrick and Donna Caffee of Center. She is a full-time staff pharmacist at Health First Pharmacy in Greensburg. She also helps out at Clark Drugs in Munfordville and TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

Courthouse before the wings were added

Many have watched and waited -- some patiently, some not so patiently -- the something positive to happen to the iconic Adair County Courthouse since 2010. Now there is movement in the right direction. To harken back, here is a photo from the "olden days" before the 1974 renovation began.
