Sunbathing Bee
2023-07-02 - Fairplay, KY - Photo by Veronica Arnold. Veronica writes, "After this bee got wet as I watered my garden, I watched as he sunbathed and hung out until he was dry enough to fly away. Which he did.
I don't know what kind of bee he is, but I bet many of the local bee keepers would know!"

Grimsley's back on the Square - not
2023-07-01 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. The sign on the front of the building by Columbia's fountain looks as if Grimsley's Jewelry might be reopening but not so. It had just been covered over by the ones who bought it from Charles Grimsley until they recently moved. The building is reportedly now under the ownership of Acapulco next door.

Miller time in Columbia
2023-07-01 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. For just a few minutes there was a Miller bus convention on the corner of Hudson and Burkesville Streets. About six of them made a turn around and headed on their way south without explanation - probably a GPS error. Thought for a moment that Sue Stivers might have gotten her wish for Columbia to be a destination with busses coming in from all over to expand our economy. - LW

Green River Lake Boaters share safety message
2023-06-30 - Adair County, KY - Photo from Mike Hamlett. In the Green River Lake Boaters group on Facebook, Mike Hamlett shared, "Just wanted to put this out there considering how busy it will be this weekend. I took this pic yesterday (6/28) close to Holmes Bend Marina. Can't speak for much of the rest of the lake because we weren't on much of the water past the marina, but just want everyone to be aware of what may be floating in some areas. Hope everybody has a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!"
