2023-07-12 - Fairplay, KY - Photo by Veronica Arnold.
Veronica writes, "I saw this giant moth in my garden. I took its picture so I could identify it later. It appears to be a snowberry clearwing moth, with a common name of Hummingbird Moth or Flying Lobster Moth. Which if you look at his shape, I get the lobster name.

He just hung out there on my green beans while I harvested some vegetables. very striking and odd. Definitely uses mimicking to look like bees."
