Enjoying the new splash pad

Families are bringing children to the new Columbia splash pad on these hot summer days. There will be a grand opening celebration August 25th. It opens at 11amCT daily in the park at the old Fairgrounds beside the pavilion.

Students are returning to campus housing

The big parking lot in front of Smith Hall at Lindsey Wilson College shows that students are beginning to move in, getting ready for the fall semester start at the end of the month. This photo looks across Young Street where the apartments are also filling up. Columbia's population and economy grow as they come in.

Bliss Club says Thank You for donations

Bliss Club wants to thank everyone in regards to Project: Man's Best Friend. On August 8, 2023, Bliss Club dropped off a truckload of donated items at Green River Animal Shelter, and found out 10 animals were adopted during Project: Man's Best Friend.

Wolf Creek Hatchery honored for Environmental Education

The Kentucky Association for Environmental Education (KAEE) has announced the recipients of the 2023 Excellence in EE Awards. Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery in Jamestown is among the recipients. The Hatchery has been awarded the Outstanding Community Partner Award for Excellence in Environmental Education.
