Myers' multi-line business operation, found in the September 24, 1902 edition of the Adair County News, which stated, "I manufacture the celebrated 'Souvenir' and 'Columbia Rolls' brands of Flour, handle Meal, Bran and Ship-Stuff, buy Wheat and Corn and furnish all kinds of Rough and Dressed Lumber," (in addition to "Bedroom Sets, Book Cases, Bedsteads, Tables. etc.. etc.." in the Furniture Department).

Found a bit of Adair County, KY in Gatlinburg, TN
 2023-09-22 - Gatlinburg, TN - Photo by Sheriff Josh Brockman. Sherrif Josh Brockman shares this picture and writes, “Find a little piece of home wherever you go if you look hard enough. Amy and I took the kids for a quick getaway in the Smokey Mountains and ran across this pumpkin from home at Dollywood.” The sign beside the huge pumpkin reads, "Scott Bayuk, Columbia, KY, 343 pounds." The Bayuk farm is where many award winning pumpkins are grown.

Dr. Luckey proclaimed Wednesday a campus-wide day of service and canceled all classes for the entire day so that students were free to participate.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

A group of LWC students gathered in the Sumner Campus Ministry Center to assemble gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child on Wednesday morning. All LWC classes were canceled for Malvina Farkle Day and students were awakened by bull horns, cow bells and cheering at 7 a.m. in the morning to start the annual day of service.
