Happy 97th Birthday to Fred Dickson

Marsha writes, "Thursday September 28, 2023, will be my sweet Grandpa's 97th birthday! Most Adair countians know him from his years at Napa Auto Parts. We, his family, know him as Pap, Pa, and Poppy. This year he became a great-great grandfather! We are so thankful for him--his faith, wisdom, grit and of course his witty humor. Happy Birthday Pa Fred!"

At the September Adair Fiscal Court meeting

It was a lighter moment at the start of the September Adair County Fiscal Court meeting. All officials were present. One of the announcements was the coming visit Tuesday, October 3, 2023 of Gov. Andy Beshear. Judge Bryant said he was not at liberty to say what the subject of the meeting will be but the public will be welcome. More will be announced as we have it.

Mystery in the new Citizens Park

What bird might this feather belong to? So far those who have been asked don't know. The leaf beside it gives indication of the length of the feather (three or four inches), which may give indication of the size of the bird.
