CACVFD responds to burning trailer on Parkway

Eight firefighters from the Columbia - Adair County Fire Department were on scene for approximately two hours to help extinguish a fire on a semi trailer on the parkway in the early hours of Monday, October 2, 2023.

Inside Pennington Stave Company

Pennington Stave Company, located in the Industrial Park off Highway 163 in Edmonton, has added 22 jobs to the local economy at a time when many jobs have been lost in Metcalfe County due to the downsizing of Kingsford Manufacturing in Summer Shade. The biggest crowd ever attended Thursday's ribbon cutting ceremony.
