Minding the Treats on the Town

Chamber of Commerce leaders Ellen Zornes and Angie Cowan worked at the annual Treats on the Town to help make sure everyone found their places and were ready to welcome the crowds.
They send a big thank you to everyone who had a booth and everyone who came to trick or treat on the Public Square.

The Georgia Man starts in 5th grade, on its way to fame
 2023-10-31 - Bowling Green, KY - Photo by proud Mom Cayce Davenport. Emmett Davenport holds his finished draft of the story he wrote, “The Georgia Man,” through the WKU Super Saturdays workshop. It was a creative writing course which focused on developing an original scary story. He learned about character development, plot design, themes, and other literary elements in order to create a story derived from personal experience. For students who want to know about the opportunity, just ask Emmett. His family says he had a blast and wants to sign up for their winter courses.

Jamison Roberts receives awards in Central KY Tennis Series

James writes, "Jamison Roberts received his accumulative season second place tennis award for men's C singles competition on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the Buchanan Tennis complex in Bowling Green, KY. He also came in second place in men's C doubles and received an award for playing all eight tournaments through the CKTS (Central Kentucky Tennis Series) this summer. He and another gentleman were the only two people to achieve the eight tournament accomplishment. Very proud of his accomplishments."
