New calf born in Bud Mullins sinkhole is doing fine
2023-11-01 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Vicky Pike of Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch. Vicky Pike reports that a new calf was born yesterday morning at the site of the old sinkhole where her parents told her (to make her behave) that old Bud Mullins, the neighborhood boogie man, lived in her time. She said Ed Waggener would love it. Vultures were sitting in the trees around the sinkhole, waiting for an opportunity to get the calf, but she got to the little one in time and all is well.

Travel: Southern Oregon Coast
2023-11-01 - Southern Oregon - Photo by Robert Ellis, Robert Ellis Woodworking. Robert writes, "Massive rock formations, like the ones pictured are all along the southern Oregon and Northern California coastlines. Traveling from views like this and into those massive trees of the Redwood forests, in a matter of a relatively short drive can be a little bit overwhelming...in a good way!
For scale, if you zoom in on the center of the picture, you can just make out a person standing there."
