President Bill Luckey said the college is doing incredibly well and a possible name change would be only that, a change in name, keeping to the spirit and mission of the school.

Kildeer chicks are fully feathered at birth

It is estimated that only 53-60 percent of the hatchlings fledge. Their distinctive markings and behaviors make them an interesting addition to our rural landscape.

Kildeer shown in classic broken wing maneuver

As I walked along the freshly graveled portion of the lane, a kildeer flew up from the bank screaming frantically, exhibiting the classic 'broken wing' maneuver in front of me. Stepping cautiously along the stony edge of the bank I discovered the nest--if it can be called that--eggs deposited in a slight depression in the rough ground.

Excellent teachers honored by School Board
 2024-04-02 - Columbia, KY - Photo from the School Board. Three Adair County School District teachers received special recognition at the last School Board meeting. The awards were from Campbellsville University's Excellence in Teaching awards program. The teachers are -- PreK-5 Division: Sarah Dean, Second Grade, Adair County Primary Center; 6-8 Division: Seth Dunbar, Mathematics, Adair County Middle School; and 9-12 Division: Will Rich, Exceptional Education, Adair County High School.
